Enter a world unlike any you’ve played in before. First released in 2004, Eberron is a high-fantasy setting, almost steampunk in aesthetic, which encourages swashbuckling action and pulp adventure while adding a layer of noir intrigue. Tales don’t always end well, and there isn’t an ideal solution to every problem.

Magic is built into the very fabric of the world. It pervades everyday life. It provides comforts and conveniences unknown in either our modern world or any world of medieval fantasy. Great cities - where castles scrape the sky - prosper throughout Khorvaire, and a thriving aristocracy of merchant Houses controls much of the world’s economy thanks to the advantage given them by the mysterious and rare dragonmarks. Its people harness magic as a tool—to build cities, to sail ships through the skies, and to create both wonders and weapons.

Occupying a unique position among D&D worlds, Eberron has a unique system of planes that influence the setting in different ways. Ancient history tells us of a great goblinoid empire that fought against fell demons and abominations; of elves that were once slaves to giantkin but now to this day serve the interests of their undying ancestors. Dreams and madness can have terrible influence upon this place, and even a person’s face may not be what it at first seems.

Eberron is filled with political intrigue, extraplanar threats, magical mysteries, and back-alley detective work — all in the context of a world emerging from the turmoil of war, and underwritten by a Prophecy pursued by dragons and fiends. Think Indiana Jones; think Pirates of the Caribbean; think Blade Runner, Sleepy Hollow and The Maltese Falcon. There’s elements of each here and more.

Player Expectations

We welcome both new and experienced players to enter this world, where tensions run high as two rival nations prepare for war on the horizon. This campaign will focus mainly on political intrigue and deep character experience, so be prepared to roleplay your character through tough interactions.
